What changed with Version 3?

EK Version 3 is our most refined EK hinge design yet. This version was developed around better fitment, improved support, and a cleaner installation experience.

Choose the option below between a steel hood shock or a carbon fiber/fiberglass hood shock.
We’ve already selected the correct gas spring options for different hood weights so you are not guessing which valving your hood needs.

Warranty + Support Included

5 YEAR WARRANTY — GAS SPRINGS ONLY to the original buyer with receipt.
Warranty requires returning the gas spring for inspection/replacement processing.

Service Parts & Support

Builds take time and things happen. If you ever need service parts down the road, we can help you get what you need quickly.
Defects are covered under warranty. Wear, accidents, and install-related damage are not free replacements, but service parts are available and we’ll help you identify exactly what you need.

Typical service parts we can supply:

• Replacement gas springs
• Hardware packs
• Bearings/spacers
• Stop components where applicable

Replacement shocks available

Replacement shock sets are available — choose the option that best fits your hood weight:
- Steel
- Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass

Important Install Note

The OEM hinge is seam sealed from the factory.
Use Hondabond or a Permatex-type sealant of your choice on the bottom of each billet base during install.

Cowl Removal Note

The cowl must be removed during installation. Original plastic cowl plugs can become brittle over time and may break during removal. Because of that, the first 50 EK Version 3 Launch Edition sets include new replacement plastic cowl plugs.

EK Version 3 hood hinges are not currently in stock and ready to ship.

We are currently estimating approximately 45+ days before the first production run is ready to ship. This timeline is an estimate and may change slightly depending on production, inspection, and assembly.

If you place an order, you are reserving a set from the EK Version 3 Launch Edition production run.

It is the buyer's responsibility to understand the product's fit, function, production timeline, and use. Unless otherwise specified, UPS and USPS are used for shipping.
